Subscribe/Unsubscribe to a Sympa Mailing List
To subscribe or unsubscribe to a Sympa mailing list follow the instructions below. Some lists may also require a list admins approval, if you know the list manager you can reach out to them for more information, otherwise contact the Helpdesk for assistance. Please note; some lists such as College@bard.edu are required for important communications, users will not be able to opt out of these lists.
Subscribing
- From your Bard email account, send a message to sympa@sympa.bard.edu.
- In the subject line of your email, type in: subscribe nameofthelist (replace “nameofthelist” with the name of the list you want to subscribe to, e.g. subscribe happening).
- Leave the message body blank and click send.
Unsubscribing
- From your Bard email account, send a message to sympa@sympa.bard.edu.
- In the subject line of your email, type in: unsubscribe nameofthelist (replace “nameofthelist” with the name of the list you want to unsubscribe from, e.g. unsubscribe pennysaver).
- Leave the message body blank and click send.
You can also manage your list subscriptions through the Sympa portal by going to sympa.bard.edu in your web browser and logging in with your Bard account. If you are a list admin you will also use this portal to manage subscribers and list configurations.
