Setting up a Vacation/Auto Response Message
Like most email services Google provides the option to set up an auto response message that can notify others when someone is out of the office, on vacation, or no longer works/attends Bard. No matter what the purpose, the auto-response message Google refers to this feature as a "Vacation Responder". To setup or edit your vacation responder in Gmail follow the instructions below.
- Login to your Bard Gmail account and click on the setting icon near the top right hand corner of the page, Select "See all Settings" or follow the link below.

 Gmail account settings

-
Under the General tab scroll down toward the bottom of the page to find the Vacation Responder section. Configure this section according to the date/s you expect to be out and what you would like it to say. Even if the vacation responder is turned on the messages will only send out during the selected time frame.
- It is recommend to leave contact information out of the email if you have it set to send to people outside of your contact list or the Bard organization. This is because scammers will often scrape email signatures from auto response messages to use in future phishing attempts.
